Integrated Shopping Basket solution linking to an accounts system. Categorised stock is dynamically updated to the website by a manual poll or set time. Orders can be made and paid for over the web, which are transferred into the accounts system as an order.

Trade and/or Retail

KC E-Commerce tailors for both trade and retail solutions. Use existing customer records within the accounts package to allow trade ordering over the web 24/7.

Tell A Friend

An enhancement since the original release of KC E-Commerce is the ability “to tell a friend” about what a customer may have found of interest. KC E-Commerce is able to send the specific product code including a link to the product view page to a designated email address, along with a personalised message.

Wishlist

Another trend with KC E-Commerce websites is the creation of a wishlist. Wishlists are “user created” lists of products that they want to remember. KC E-Commerce stores wishlists against their web log on account.

Customer Product Ranking

Customer product ranking allows customers to interact with your website and leave feedback on specific products. A simple 5 star systems displays the average rank made by all users.

Customer Product Review

Customer product reviews and comments aid user experience by promoting user interaction and can even help internet marketing and search engine optimisation of your site. With KC eCommerce, when a review is created and submitted it is sent to an admin area for approval by the website administrator. Once approved the review is bound to a specific product code and posted on the 'view item' page. The fact that is can help in marketing and SEO comes from the review being seen as relative content. KC eCommerce can produce a 'best sellers' list displaying the top 10 products that sell best from your site.

Search Features

Standard Search

With KC eCommerce, the standard search tool performs a search on every stock item in your catalogue, searching product code, product name, and product description. Multiple words can be search for at any 1 time, and the search tool will return all full matches.

Advanced Search

Refine by Department Code

As standard, the search tool can refine search results by specified department code. This omits all results from a previous search that do not originate in the specified department.

Refine by Maximum Price

This allows uses to narrow down their search by maximum price on all products.

Browse Features

Each Item Containers

KC eCommerce displays products in minature form until they are view specifically. These mini-items can be designed to however you choose and they are populated throughout the website in search results and related items.

Each Catalogue Containers

Catalogue Containers work in the same way as 'Each Item Containers', but are only displayed when browsing at a department or catalogue level. This allows you to have separate designs depending on the catalogue tier that is currently being viewed. This can help customers understand where and what they are viewing.

Browse by Department Code

The browse function allows users to browse specific departments, displaying every item that is located in that department directly as it appears in your accounts package.

Product View Features

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs show hierarchy of the product catalogue that a user is currently viewing. This makes it easier to view product in the same catalogue and browse throughout the entire stock list. The Breadcrumbs are a direct representation of your stock catalogue as it appears in your accounts package.

Display Product Name

KC eCommerce displays the Product Name directly as it appears in your accounts package.

Display Product Code

KC eCommerce displays the Product Code directly as it appears in your accounts package.

Display Extended Product Description

KC eCommerce displays extended product descriptions as they appear in your accounts package. You can upload separate description information using ShopCP and attach it to specific items.

Display Price

Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT.

Display Stock Levels

There are several options of how display stock levels using KC eCommerce. You can simply display whether the specific item is in stock or not, you can opt to display actual stock levels as they appear in your accounts package or you can display high or low stock levels.

Add & Display Linked Items

Linked items are set-up in ShopCP. You can assign an unlimited amount of linked items and choose where to display them on the 'view item' page. Using linked items helps you market specific items, but also helps the user see more of your stock catalogue.

Specific UDF Interpretation

If your accounts package supports the use of User Definable Fields (UDF's), KC eCommerce can interpret these in a number of ways. Not only can the search tool search directly on specific UDF's, but the data they contain can be represented as anything you like. Because KC eCommerce can display specific UDF data directly on on a website, this data can be used in its raw format and changed into images or tables or text. The possibilities are almost endless.

Image Based Features

Batch Image Processing

Upload images in multiple formats (.jpg is recommended for standard eCommerce websites) and KC eCommerce will process your images for optimised usage on the internet.

Multiple Image Sizing

KC eCommerce uses the same single image irrespective of desired use. Main, Thumbnail, Micro and Super Sized images can be created directly from the source image, however if you prefer - the system caters for the input of separate thumbnails and micro-thumbnails, so if you want to: you can manually crop images or represent a separate image all together.

Multiple Product Images

KC eCommerce allows as many additional product images to be attached and shown as you like. How they are actually shown is completely upto you, you can choose from many solutions including displaying them on the main product page, or in a separate image gallery.

Multiple Zoom Types

Zoom functions are important in eCommerce, as customers want to see detail in what they are buying. Kamarin have a variety of image zoom functions, some of which allow scrolling and multiple zoom levels, however if you have seen a solution to image zooming, or want it done in a particular way: our developers and designers will cater specifically for your solution.

Separate Image Gallery Function

As standard KC eCommerce has a separate image function which can open in a separate window, and dynamically loads additional product images on a per-product basis. These additional images are then enlarged by the user when they are requested.

Back Office & Integration Features

Real-Time Order Processing

As orders are sent from the website, they are automatically downloaded and sent directly to your accounts package. The entire order processing is almost instantaneous.

Real-Time Order Resilliance & Back-Up

As KC eCommerce relys on an 'always on' broadband connection to deliver orders, there is a potential that the connection to your accounts package may drop. Knowing that this may happen, KC eCommerce backs-up all successful orders on the server and awaits a connection to your accounts package. It also sends a copy of every order to Kamarin, so we can supply you with correct order details should anything happen to your connection. This back-up feature allows you to be able to trade 24 / 7 without worry.

Automated Stock Polling

You can set the time limit for polling of stock to your website. We recommend that you do this every 24 hours at around 3am as this on average is the internet's lowest usage period.

Real-Time Stock Polling

If you urgently need to amend your stock online, you can call for a complete data refresh.

Unlimited Hosting Space**

There are no limits on your website hosting space. This means that you can add as many images or additional information as you want to give your customers the best experience of your business.

SSL Certificate

As part of your KC eCommerce subscription you are given an SSL certificate, and this is updated each year. SSL certificates encrypt data making your website very secure when passing confidential information.

Free Product Updates & Maintenance

KC eCommerce is developed around 1 central code base - this is good news for you, because if we update it, your site gets updated too: giving you peace of mind and future enhancements making the product better and more efficient.

If for any reason your site may have to go off line to perform an update, we will notify you well in advance and your downtime will be kept to a minimum. We will endeavor for this never to happen.

Selection of Payment Gateways

Currently KC eCommerce works with SECPAY & PROTX which are both very widly use fully integrated internet payment solution providers, however if you prefer you can use PAYPAL. SECPAY and PROTX require a monthly subscription fee additional to any subscriptions fees payable to KC eCommerce, and they also charge on a per-transaction basis however these fees are nominal and can be gauged on how many transactions you hope to take each month. The benifits outway the cons for using completely integrated payment providers, as you have a very secure way of transferring funds and it is all done by a regulated 3rd party. Advanced Error Reporting

With KC eCommerce being constantly monitored by our support staff and development team, we can often detect and resolve errors without you knowing about them. The error reporting system in KC eCommerce can track orders until they leave the system and if an error occurs at any point, Kamarin are notified of it.
